2 Georgia barbecue dishes on list “23 Essential Barbecue Dishes in U.S.”

Are you a fan of barbeque? Southern Food? We are! And, people are starting to take notice of Southern Soul on St. Simons Island. Check out this article in the Atlanta Business Chronicle today which highlights a recent guide to eating the best BBQ:

A new guide that lists "The 23 Essential Barbecue dishes in the U.S." includes dishes at two Georgia restaurants.

The guide was compiled by Eater.com with the assistance of Daniel Vaughn, Texas Monthly's barbecue editor and author of The Prophets of Smoked Meat: A Journey Through Texas Barbecue; food and drink writer Jennifer V. Cole; and Nick Solares, Eater NY's restaurant editor and the host of Eater's The Meat Show.

The guide focuses on main courses built around smoked meats. Barbecue restaurant side dishes are another topic altogether, Eater.com says.
