Architecture

In homage to the early settlers of the area, the Frederica amenities are reminiscent of traditional Spanish architecture with archways and red tile roofs. Tabby — a mixture of crushed seashells, clay and sand — walls are proven by the area's earliest settlers to stand the test of time.  Nearby Fort Frederica, established by General James Oglethorpe, was primarily constructed of Tabby. Architecture in the region ranges from Southern Vernacular, Mizner, and Lowcountry. At Frederica, each home combines all the modern design and conveniences surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Every detail considered with a nod toward the rich and meaningful history of St. Simons Island with careful appreciation of capturing the views surrounding them.
